Selinsgrove - William "Bill" George Becker, 86, of Selinsgrove passed away at his home on Saturday, June 28, 2025, with his family present. He was born on Aug. 2, 1938, in Philadelphia the son of the late William Leonard and Hazel (Greenawald) Becker. Bill was a graduate of Staunton Military Academy, Virginia, and Widener University. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served as a corpsman. Bill, along with his father, was founder and owner of Becker Volkswagen, Becker Body Shop, and Countryside Village.

On July 29, 1972, he married the former Gloria Shaw, who survives. The couple was married 52 years at the time of his passing.

Bill was a member of the Susquehanna Country Club, Eagles Mere Country Club, Seaview Country Club, Atlantic City, N.J., and the Union County Sportsmen's Club.

He was an avid social golfer and enjoyed playing tennis. Bill will be remembered for his sense of humor and quick wit. He also enjoyed spending the winters with Gloria in Florida.

In addition to his wife Gloria, he is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Mimi (Becker) and Francis DeRitis; two granddaughters Natalie and Emily; two great-grandsons Joseph and James, and Gloria's siblings, nieces, and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 10 a.m. to noon at the V. L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High Street, Selinsgrove, followed by a memorial service at noon with Chaplain Mike Miller of Residential Hospice officiating. Full military honors accorded by the Selinsgrove American Legion Post 25 and the Selinsgrove Veterans of Foreign Post 6631 will follow the service at the funeral home.
