William D. Barnett Obituary

Milton - William D. Barnett, 101, of Milton passed away on June 23, 2025, at his home.

Born in Weikert on Aug. 24, 1923, he was the son of the late Jacob and Amber (Pursley) Barnett.

He was married for 36 years to the former Elizabeth L. Breining until her death in 1991.

William went to school in Laurelton and worked for Milton Manufacturing. He served in the U.S. Navy during WW II.

He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Milton and the Buffalo Valley Sportsmens Club.

William is survived by two daughters Connie Barnett Clark of Selinsgrove, and Cathy L. Hoover of Milton; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Irene Hill of Greencastle, and Freida Barker of State College, and his companion Nancy Smith of Milton.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Kathryn Barnett, and two sons, Eugene R. Drum, and Gary L. Drum.

Friends and relatives will be received on Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Shaw Funeral Home 400 N. Front St. Milton. Funeral services will begin at 11 with Rev. Michael Reece officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park Montgomery.
