William Edwin Ashenfelder (Bill) Obituary
William Edwin Ashenfelder, "Bill", 66, of Milton, passed away Monday Aug. 19, 2024, after a long and hard-fought battle with metastatic cancer.
Bill was born April 2, 1958, in Lewisburg. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was the type of person to help anyone in need and ask nothing in return. It was an honor to know him, to love him, and especially to be loved by him.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter since his youth. His favorite place to be was the outdoors, in the woods or near a stream. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles, especially Harley Davidsons. Bill was a proud welder/ironworker for over 30 years and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Milton for over 20 years.
Bill is survived by his two daughters, Cora English and Carly Ashenfelder; his two grandchildren, Tanner Czegledi and Bay English; his stepdaughter, Maggie Stockert; his sister, Linda Clugston; his nieces/nephews, and his great nieces/nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Mae Ashenfelder; his father, Robert John Ashenfelder; and his two brothers, Robert John Ashenfelder II and David Ashenfelder.
Friends and relatives will be received Friday, Aug. 30, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Shaw Funeral Home, 400 N. Front St., Milton, where a memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Stephen G. Shirk officiating.
