Wanda Jean Aikey
Wanda Jean Aikey, 85, of Mechanicsburg, entered into rest on Jan. 12, 2020, at the residence of her daughter Cathy Haus of Mechanicsburg.
She was born March 6, 1934, in West Milton, a daughter of the late Joel and Sadie Mae (Mitchell) Dieffenderfer. On Jan. 25, 1953, in Breckenridge, Ky., she married Hugh Jefferson Aikey who passed away on Oct. 13, 1995.

Wanda was a 1951 graduate of Milton High School.
She was a retired seamstress working many years for Quaker Manufacturing of Mifflinburg and Lewisburg.
Wanda enjoyed spending time with her family and would never miss any of the kids, or grandchildren's sports activities. She was a big supporter of her great-granddaughters college soccer team.

Surviving is one daughter, Cathy Haus of Mechanicsburg; one son, Mark W. Aikey of Turbotville; two grandchildren, Shannon Dorwart of Mechanicsburg, and Hope Parke of Mechanicsburg; three great-grandchildren, Scott, Taylor, and Rachael; one great-great-grandson, Lukas; two sisters, Alice Smith of Milton, and Betty Hammond of Watsontown; and three brothers, Gordon Sheets of Lewisburg, Harold Dieffenderfer of White Deer, and Warren Dieffenderfer of Milton.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters, Gordon Dieffenderfer, Annie Horner, Kate Sheets, Alvaretta Sheets, Donald Sheets, James Sheets

Family and friends are invited to the visitation from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, at Adamo's, 16 Walnut Street, Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be held at 3, with the Rev. Daniel Hicks officiating.
Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Wanda's memory may be sent to Parkinson's Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018 .

I took care of Wanda. She was a special person. She stole my heart. She made me laugh and we cried togather. I will never for get her. RIP my friend. U will be truly missed. My prayers r w her family.
