Milton, Pennsylvania - Walter E. Swineford, 93, of Milton, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Meiserville, Snyder County on Oct. 20, 1932, he was the son of the late Lee and Edna (Scholl) Swineford. He was married to the former Lois Engle. Together, they celebrated 74 years of marriage.
Walter was a graduate of Selinsgrove High School and retired from American Home Foods in 1998 after 40 years of service.
He liked to mow and trim the lawn, pull out the weeds and work on the flower bed. He liked to watch golf on TV with his wife Lois and really had a good time going on bus trips with BKW Company.
In addition to his wife Lois, he is survived by a son, Craig Swineford, of Milton, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a sister Marie Kline, of Liverpool.
He was preceded in death by a daughter Ann Beasom, a sister Elsie Strawser, and three brothers, Leroy "Skip" Swineford, Ralph Swineford, and Larry Swineford.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 11 a.m. at St. John's United Church of Christ, 1050 Buffalo Road, Lewisburg, with Rev. Alice Rauch officiating.
Arrangements are under the care of the Shaw Funeral Home, 400 N. Front St., Milton.
