Lewisburg, Pennsylvania - On Friday, July 24, 2026, God called home his faithful servant, Walter E. Scholl Jr. at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Lewisburg on Jan. 4, 1945 to the late Walter E. Scholl Sr. and Ella Josephine (Erb) Scholl.

On Jan. 2, 1965, he married the love of his life, Bonita (Bock) Scholl who pre-deceased him on March 9, 2013.

Walter graduated from Milton Area High School in 1963. Walter worked for many years as a self-employed Waste Treatment Plant Operator and in Industrial Maintenance under the name of Scholl's Industrial Maintenance, retiring in 2025. Walter was also the owner of Scholl's Archery. Walter was a lifetime member of Buffalo Valley Bowmen Archery Club and vice president of the Penn State Archery Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and siblings, George Scholl and Terry Scholl and one niece and nephew.

He is survived by his nephews, Michael (Mary) Himes, Lee (Christine) Deaner, niece, Kathy (Ron) Johnson, siblings, Rose (Terry) Deaner, Gary (Christine) Scholl, Wendle (Staci) Scholl, Albert (Becky) Scholl. Sisters-in-Law, Pat Scholl, Donna Chivari, MaryEllen (Jose) Mendoza, Connie Dickey. Brother-in-Law, Bud (Joan) Bock. Nieces and nephews, Mark (Molly) Chivari, Jessica (Jake) Drewes. Stephen (Kylie) Himes, Kesley Sheets, Kasey and Kayla Scholl, Sue (Dan) Morris, Karen Scholl, Joanna (Mark) Morgan, Wendle and Albert Scholl, Steve Scholl, Johnny Scholl, Marshall (Amy) Scholl, Gary Scholl, Jr. Also, great-nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
