Violet  Grove
Violet "Vicki" Grove, 95, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Feb. 14, 2020. She was a resident at the Milton Nursing and Rehab, Milton for the past four years, and a former resident of Point Township, Northumberland, and Sunbury.
She was born May 14, 1924, in Chicago, Ill., the oldest daughter of the late Leo and Justine Marik.

Vicki attended the University of Chicago where she met and married Glenn M. Grove of Sunbury on Oct. 6, 1945. They had four children.

Vicki retired from her favorite job with the SCIU, helping the social and emotionally disturbed teens. Other employment included Thompsons, Wilsons, and Kovals' Shoes.
She was a member of Sunbury Bible Church, Northumberland.
Vicki loved to travel to Europe, the shore, swimming, reading, flowers, dancing and music. She enjoyed her friendships with four longtime girlfriends, Doris, Arlene, Mary and Jane. She cherished her father's family in Chicago where she grew up.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Norm Grove of Tega Cay, S.C., and Dawne and Russ Ferry of McAlisterville; two sons, David and Mark Grove, both of Sunbury; seven grandchildren, Kirk Middlesworth, Koby Miller, Tasha Kelley, Lisa Jordan, Autumn Strawser, and Zachary Grove; 11 great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Grant Middlesworth, Alivia Miller, Blaze, Jade, Zeb, and Issac Kelley; Kingston and Kendall Jordan, and Julianna and Marilyn Grove.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley M. Huebner; and one grandson, David Grove.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, at the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove, followed by the funeral at 11:30, with Pastor Mike Miller officiating.
Burial will be in Orchard Hills Cemetery, Shamokin Dam.
Memorials to honor Vicki's memory may be made to the Sunbury Bible Church, 135 Spruce Hollow Road, Northumberland, PA 17857.
