Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania - Vergie Faith Heim, 61, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 4:12 a.m., Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at home.


She was born May 9, 1965, in Mifflinburg, a daughter of the late Alfred and Ethyle (Long) Grove. On Oct. 16, 1999, she married George "Butch" F. Heim, who survives.


Vergie was a graduate of Milton High School.


She was employed as a cook at Bucknell University, worked in the dietary department at Geisinger, and owned and operated Norry Nook Gift Shop, Northumberland.


Vergie enjoyed gardening, nature, traveling, her dog Mazie, and spending time with her granddaughters and family.


Surviving in addition to her husband of 26 years, are two daughters and one son-in-law, Shannon Houtz, of Danville, and Amber and Nathaniel Jenkins, of Milton; three grandchildren, Torylin, Alayna, and Raelynn; and three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Wilbert and Kim Bennett, of Milton, Richard Bennett, of Lykens, and Jack and Dianna Grove, of Lykens.


She was preceded in death by two brothers, Samuel Grove and Harrison Bennett.


Family and friends are welcome to a time of visitation from 1 to 2 p.m., Friday, May 29, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Road, Mifflinburg, where the memorial service will be conducted at 2, with Chaplain Carrie Stein officiating.
