Sunbury - Terry Lee Gerber, age 63 of Sunbury, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, while in Ontario helping to care for his father. Terry was born in Stratford, Ontario, on Dec. 6, 1962, a son of Mahlon Lloyd and Mary (Lichty) Gerber.

On July 27, 1985, he married Karen Louise Myer, who survives. Terry and Karen relocated to Pennsylvania in 1991. Together they raised six sons and have since welcomed 15 grandchildren.

Terry was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Terry's family will miss coming home to the smell of popcorn, being able to "just call Dad" and watching for him in his truck on the road. He touched many in the community through his tractor repair shop and trucking business.

Terry and Karen attended Hepburn Street Mennonite Church in Milton.

Terry was preceded in death by his mother, Mary (Lichty) Gerber; brother, Titus Gerber; infant son, Curtis Lyndell Gerber; stepmother, Anna Mae (Wagler) Gerber; father-in-law, Wilmer Myer and mother-in-law, Martha (Herr) Myer.

Terry is survived by his father, Mahlon L. Gerber of Millbank Ontario; wife, Karen (Myer) Gerber; six sons, Lavon Gerber and his wife Twila of Chambersburg, Kyle Gerber and his wife, Dorcas of Danville, Leslie Gerber and his wife, Angela of Danville, Terry Rendell Gerber and his wife, Sheila of Danville, Da'Shawn Gerber of Sunbury and Stephen Jackson of Sunbury; fifteen grandchildren, Jeffrey, Katelyn, Kenlynn, Rendell, Kari, Beth, Landon, Sherri, Britany, Jared, Krystal, Laramie, Trenton, Heidi and Violet; six sisters, Sharon Yoder and her husband, Arnold of Gads Hill, Ontario, Marlene Strubhar and her husband, Paul of Thornloe, Ontario, Lynn Schapansky and her husband, John of McBride, British Columbia, Jean Derstine and her husband, Reuben of East Berlin, Pa., Lucy Schrock and her husband, DeWayne of Odon, Ind., Teresa Haldeman and her husband, Lamar of Milton, Pa.; one brother, Stewart Gerber and his wife, Allison of Fort Saskatchewan, AB; and in-laws, Glenn (Dianne) Myer, Judy (Abe) Krahn, David (Laurie) Myer, Mark (Lois) Myer, Nathan (Sandee) Myer, Mariellen (Brent) Rosenberry, and Jesse (Carol) Myer.

Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., at Danville Mennonite Church, 422 Elysburg Road, Danville Pa., 17821. Terry's funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at 10 a.m., at Danville Mennonite Church with Hepburn Street Mennonite Church officiating. Interment will take place in the adjoining cemetery.
