Susan M. Weaver
A native of Union County, she was born March 17, 1952, in Lewisburg, a daughter of Marie (Pasukinis) Stauffer of Lewisburg and the late Marlin L. Stauffer. She was married to Michael R. Weaver for almost 46 years..
Susan attended St. Monica School, Sunbury and was a 1970 graduate of Lewisburg High School.
She was employed at Purity Candy for 30 years and was currently its manager.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, and a former president of White Deer Elementary School PSA.
Susan was gifted with crafting, knitting, sewing and cross-stitch. She was the glue that held her family together, maintained family traditions, loved her grandchildren and adored spending time with them. They lovingly referred to her as Binga. She enjoyed the annual family vacation at Rehoboth Beach. Susan was kind and caring for everyone and was loved by all who knew her.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by three children and their spouses, Matthew Weaver, Jeremy and Allyson Weaver, and Rebecca and Steve Rice; three grandchildren, Camden Weaver, Talulah Rice and Charlie Rice; two brothers and sister-in-law, David and Sandra Stauffer and James Stauffer; one sister, Laurie Stauffer-Kleponis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Jennifer Weaver; and one brother, Joel Stauffer.
Friends and relatives will be received from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Friday, Aug. 16, at the John H. Shaw III Funeral Home, Market and Eighth streets, Lewisburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 16, at Sacred Heart Church, Lewisburg, with the Rev. Mark Wilke as celebrant.
Burial will follow in the Lewisburg Cemetery.
The family will provide flowers and asks that donations in Susan's memory be made to Sacred Heart Church, 41 S. Eighth St., Lewisburg, PA 17837.
