Stanley Earl Dueck Obituary

Richfield, PA - Stanley Earl Dueck, affectionately known as Stan to his friends and loved ones, passed away on June 2, 2025, at his residence in South Bend, Ind. He was born on Sept. 8, 1958, in Dalmeny, Saskatchewan, Canada, to William and the late Alma (Doell) Dueck.

Stan was the beloved husband of Brenda (Ferster) Dueck, who survives. He is also survived by his children Trent Dueck (Nina) of Granger, Ind., Troy Dueck (Danae) of South Bend, Ind., and Brianne Mendez (Seth) of Chicago, Ill. His legacy also lives brightly through his nine cherished grandchildren, who were the joy of his life.

In addition to his immediate family, Stan's memory is honored by his father, Bill Dueck, who resides in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and his brother Herb Dueck (Heather) of Telkwa, British Columbia. He was predeceased by his mother, Alma, and his brother, Raymond Dueck.

Stan was a man of faith and devotion to Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior, and was deeply involved in serving as an elder at the Richfield Life Ministries Church in Richfield, Pa., where his presence will be dearly missed. His dedication to his church was demonstrated through his love for people as an excellent conversationalist and his desire to share Jesus with others.

Stan had a passion for landscape design — a craft he pursued with creativity and an eye for natural beauty. This passion fueled his penchant to travel and see the landscapes of the world. His trips were not just adventures but also an extension of his love for his family, as they became cherished memories he would recount with sparkling eyes to his grandchildren. A master of conversation, Stan could engage anyone on a myriad of topics, always eager to learn more and share his own knowledge and humor.

Stan's departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved him, yet his legacy continues through the lives he touched. Though he made beautiful landscapes and shared many fond memories, his life well-lived was done in the Spirit of Jesus Christ and its eternal value is in the love of Christ he shared.

A memorial service will be held on a future date at Richfield Life Ministries Church; please contact the church office at 717-694-3490 for more information.

In memory of Stan, who was a beacon for the gospel of Jesus Christ, the family requests that contributions be made to the Snyder Co. Gideons, PO Box 382, Selinsgrove, PA 17870.
