Shirley A. Wilson Obituary

Shirley A. Wilson, 75, of McClure, passed away on Monday, Feb. 10 at Rolling Hills Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, Millmont.


She was born May 16, 1949, a daughter of the late Arthur and Freda (Long) Fultz. On Dec. 9, 1966, she married Ronald E. Wilson Sr., who survives.


Shirley attended West Snyder High School.


She worked as an aide at the Selinsgrove Center until her retirement.


She enjoyed cross stitching and reading books written by author Kevin O'Brien. Shirley was an animal lover and enjoyed tending to the cows, horses, chickens and ducks on their small family farm.


In addition to her husband Ronald, she is survived by one son, Shawn Wilson; one granddaughter, Ayden Wilson; one great-grandson, Ledger Pellot; one brother, David Fultz; one sister, Peggy (Steve) Willow; and five nephews, Chad and Ryan Fultz, Seth, Dustin and Kirk Willow.


Shirley was preceded in death by one son, Ronald E. Wilson Jr.


A graveside service will be held on Monday, Feb. 17 at 1 p.m. in Black Oak Ridge Cemetery, Stage Road, McClure, with Rev. Kathy Mercado officiating.


Following the graveside service, a celebration of life/luncheon will be held at the Troxelville community hall for a time of food and fellowship.


Arrangements are by the Kreamer Funeral Home, 130 S. Zechman St., Beavertown.
