Herndon, PA - Shirley Joan Levering, 91, of Herndon, Pennsylvania, passed away on May 1, 2026, at her home. She was born in Lititz on January 16, 1935, the daughter of Lydia (Herr) Derr and James Derr.
She was an active member of the YMCA and a champion Wii bowler. She loved to read, crochet, garden, and nature. She adored her family, friends, and all of her animals.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Deborah Jones of Scottsville, KY; brother Larry Derr of Shunk; granddaughter, Joleen Levering and partner Nicki Sullivan of Lexington, KY; grandson, Zachary Jones of Cave City, KY; 2 nieces, Sharon Kulp of Weirton, WV; Ann Marie Derr of Shunk; and nephew Larry Derr Jr. She was preceded in death by husband of 58 years, Robert J. Levering; son, Bryan Levering; sister, Jean Bjorgon; nephew, Dale Miller
There will be no services at this time.
