Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania - After a 13-year battle with polymyositis, Shelvy "Shelby" Reinard entered into the arms of her Lord and Savior on May 4, 2026, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born on Dec. 21, 1961, in Lewisburg, she was the daughter of Rachel L. Weader and the late Warren E. Weader. On Aug. 27, 1983, she married Carl H. Reinard Jr., who survives.

In addition to her mother and husband, Shelby is survived by one daughter, Regina R. Zercher; and one grandchild, Kember K. Heckman. She is also survived by one sister, Glenda K. Deckard; and one brother, Victor E. Weader.

A 1979 graduate of West Snyder High School, Shelby began her career at Kinney Shoe in Beaver Springs, where she met the love of her life and future husband. She later worked for Bi-Lo grocery store in Mifflinburg before joining Wal-Mart in Selinsgrove, where she ultimately retired following 20 years of dedicated service.

Shelby's greatest joys were her granddaughter and her two dogs, Bella and Zeus. She cherished family trips to the beach, where they would walk the boardwalk, spend time on the pier, and feed the seagulls Thrasher's French fries. At home, she found peace bird watching and reading her Bible and devotionals.

Shelby will be forever remembered for her radiant smile that could brighten the darkest room, an infectious laugh that brought joy to all who heard it, and a deeply kind heart that knew no bounds.

In honoring Shelby's wishes, no traditional services will be held. Arrangements are by Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St., Middleburg.
