Saundra L. Kumpf Obituary
Saundra L. "Sandy" Kumpf, 75, of New Columbia, passed away Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
She was born Jan. 26, 1944, in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Dr. Thomas J. and Mary B. (Brant) Hopkins.
Sandy was a graduate of Bloomsburg High School and a member of Beaver Memorial United Methodist Church, Lewisburg.
She was a very accomplished musician and was the pianist and organist for several Williamsport, Lewisburg, and Mifflinburg churches including, Lycoming Presbyterian Church, Williamsport, First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mifflinburg, and St. John's United Church of Christ, Lewisburg.
Surviving are her three sons, Andrew M. "Drew" Kumpf (Vicki) and Scott H. Kumpf, both of Florida, and Brendon N. Kumpf, of New York; three grandchildren, Alexis, Matthew, and Nicholas; one brother, Thomas Marshal Hopkins (Lynne), of Montoursville; a local niece, Amy H. Bolt (Jason), of Williamsport; and several other nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to honor the life of Saundra will be announced at a later date.
