Middleburg, Pennsylvania - Sandra L. Reichley, 84, passed away on May 6, 2025, at home.

Born Sept. 8, 1940, Sandy was daughter of the late Leo W. and Pauline (Lenig) Yerger. She was wife to Richard E. Reichley, son of the late U. Elwood and S. Kathryn Reichley.

After graduating from Middleburg High School in May 1958, she worked at The First National Bank of Selinsgrove as bookkeeper and teller. In September of 1962, Sandy married Rich and moved to Alexandria, Va., where he was employed as a model builder.

At that time, Sandy began working for the headquarters of The American Red Cross. Her job involved correspondence for chapter records and fieldwork representatives for the entire eastern area of the United States.

On Aug. 26, 1965, she and Rich were blessed with the birth of their beloved daughter, Terri. Later that year, they moved back to Pa. They have lived in Snyder County for 60 years, moving into their present home in 1968.

Sandy was incredibly kind, thoughtful and loving, a real people-person. Her greatest joy in life was her family. Known for faithfully sending greeting cards to the entire extended family throughout her life, Sandy modeled acts of generosity always. She was an amazing wife to Rich, mother to Terri and THE best grandma to Trevor and Ryan. She cherished spending time with her grandsons, attending choral concerts, plays, dance shows at Hershey Theatre, swim competitions, track and field events; she was so proud when both grandsons achieved Eagle Scout honors. She loved them dearly.

In addition to her husband of nearly 63 years, she is survived by her daughter, Terri Reichley Dennehy and husband Patrick, grandsons Trevor and Ryan, sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Barry Long, brother-in-law Guy Graybill, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, sister Nancy Graybill, brothers- and sisters-in-laws Donald and Jeanne Reichley and John and Ethel Reichley, as well as three nephews, several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Arrangements are by Hummel Funeral Home, Middleburg. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society or to Geisinger Hospice, in her memory, are appreciated.
