Sandra Joan (Kratzer) Hackenburg, 78, of Selinsgrove, went to be with her heavenly father on Monday, Nov. 9, 2020, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

She was born June 5, 1942, in Selinsgrove, a daughter of the late Norman and Betty (Snook) Kratzer. On June 26, 1966, she married Larry Hackenburg who survives.

Sandra graduated from Selinsgrove Area High School with the class of 1960.

She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Selinsgrove where she was a Sunday school teacher. She also handled the memorial book where she wrote in calligraphy displaying her amazing penmanship.

Sandra was employed by the Celotex Corporation where she eventually retired. She spent many hours perfecting her crocheting making many gifts for friends and family. She loved her grandchildren and spent her days trying to keep up with their many activities. Sandra enjoyed traveling on day trips with the Middleburg Senior Citizens group. She also loved cooking for her friends and family.

Surviving in addition to her husband Larry are one sister, Donna (Kratzer) Stuck of Arizona; one daughter, Melissa Hoy and Dave Bookmiller of Northumberland; one son, Shawn Hackenburg of Dalmatia; daughter-in-law, Lauren Hackenburg; grandchildren, Ryan and Ashley Hoy and Chance and Jace Hackenburg; niece, Lora (Stuck) Calvert of California; and nephew, Aaron Stuck of Arizona.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Dottie Anderson and Darlene Kratzer; and brother-in-law Robert Stuck.

Sandra loved flowers, but monetary contributions can be made to Salem Lutheran Church of Selinsgrove if so desired.

A viewing will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, at the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove.

Graveside services follow at 2 p.m. in Salem Lutheran Cemetery, Selinsgrove.
