Middleburg - Sandra A. Barton, 82, of Middleburg, entered into eternal rest on Monday, Sept. 15, 2025, at her residence.
Born on Oct. 18, 1942, in Danville, Sandra was a daughter to the late Ray A. and Hazel (Tompkins) Spotts.
Sandra was a graduate of Middleburg High School and attended Zion Fellowship Church in Middleburg.
Sandra was a dedicated and compassionate woman who spent her career working at the Selinsgrove Center, where she was known for her commitment, kindness, and care for others. She found great joy and fulfillment in serving as a foster grandparent, sharing her warmth, wisdom, and unconditional love with the children she mentored.
Sandra is survived by her husband, David Barton; two daughters, Anita (Bret) Finney and April (Tim) Smith; two sisters, Sharon (John) Bucher and RaeEllen (Bruce) Teats; two grandchildren, Larry and Amber Smith; and her special best friend, Grace (Gary) Updegrove.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Larry Hummel.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2025, at Grubbs Church Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Mills, with Roger Clotfelter officiating.
