Ruth Lydick Sheets, 95, of Milton, passed peacefully into Heaven on Tuesday, March 18, 2025.

Ruth was born on April 16, 1929, in Aliquippa, Pa. She was next to the youngest of ten children of John and Anna (Albertson) Lydick. Upon her death, Ruth was married to Donald Sheets Jr. who preceded her into Heaven in February 2016.

Ruth was employed at Chef Boyardee in Milton from September 25, 1959, to May 1, 1994. Ruth was a member of the Christ Wesleyan Church in Milton and volunteered for numerous duties at the church for several years. She loved to bowl but finally gave up her bowling shoes when she was in her 80s. She loved her Yankees baseball and Penn State football teams.

Ruth is survived by two children, Sandra (Luigi) Merlini, of Enola, PA, and Mike (Vicki) Coup, of Mifflinburg, PA, and one great-granddaughter, Abigail Davenport of Ephrata, PA.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her four brothers, Turner, Robert, George and William and five sisters, Sara Sydorick, Gertrude Hepler, Betty Drumm, Catherine Miller and Amber Young, and her granddaughter, Sandra Alaniz.

Following Ruth's wishes, private services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.

Any memorial contributions in Ruth's name may be made to the Christ Wesleyan Church of Milton.
