Russell R. Reitz Obituary

Sunbury - Russell Romaine Reitz, 80, of Sunbury, passed away on Dec. 27, 2025, at Geisinger Hospital, Danville. He was the widower of Victoria (Ball) Reitz who passed in 1996. Born on Nov. 19, 1945, in Sunbury, he was a son of the late Warren G. Reitz Sr. and Katherine I. (Buckles) Reitz.

Russell was a devoted father, brother, and uncle who was always encouraging to those he loved. He could often be found spending time at Burger King in Elysburg or stopping by the Dollar General on Route 61, where he enjoyed visiting with familiar faces. A fan of football and his supplements, Russell was known for his good sense of humor and for knowing someone wherever he went. Above all, he deeply appreciated the love, care, and support he received from his family and friends.

Russell will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Valerie Reitz; brothers, Warren Reitz Jr, and Jerry Reitz and his wife Helen, a niece and several nephews. He was predeceased by his sister-in-law Elma Reitz.
