Sunbury - Russell "Skip" Leroy Wynn Sr., 87, of Sunbury, entered into rest on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2026, at Nottingham Village, surrounded by family.

He was born Jan. 19, 1939, in Sunbury, a son of the late George and Marguerite (Williams) Wynn. He met his wife, Donna (Hay) Wynn in high school and they were married in 1958.

Russ was a 1957 graduate of Sunbury High School, he enlisted in the Navy, after graduation.

He was self-employed as a plumbing and heating contractor for 30 years, until he retired in 2004.

Russ was active in several churches throughout his life, where he served as lay minister and Superintendent of Sunday Schools.

He was active in the Lay Witness Ministry throughout Pennsylvania and surrounding states.

Russ was a very involved father and grandfather, he enjoyed spending time with family during celebrations, camping, beach trips, attending and supporting his family in all events, and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are two daughters and one son-in-law, Deborah Weiser (Kevin L) of Herndon, and Diane and Todd VanKirk of Northumberland; one sister and brother-in-law, Shirley Rhoades (Jack); five grandchildren, Matt Weiser, Nathan (Mandy) Weiser, Andy Weiser (Danielle Finch), Elise VanKirk (Caige Pursel), Jarod VanKirk (Rayn Barber); two great-grandchildren, Grayson and Harlow, and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one son, Russ Wynn Jr.; one sister, Peggy Ann, and one son-in-law, Randy Weiser.

Family and friends are welcome to a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 7, at Saint Paul's @ The Farm, United Church of Christ, 50 Brookpark Circle, Lewisburg, where a memorial celebration will be conducted at 11, with Rev. Timothy Hogan-Palazzo officiating. A luncheon will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to his son's Scholarship fund, the Russ Wynn Scholarship Fund at Milton Area School District, or to the Saint Paul's @ The Farm, United Church of Christ, 50 Brookpark Circle, Lewisburg, Pa., 17837.
