Russell J. Budman Obituary

Russell J. "Bones" Budman, 75, a resident of Montgomery, passed away Monday, June 18, 2018 in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He was born Tuesday, July 7, 1942 at Elimsport, Lycoming County, a son of the late Brady James and Edna Rose (Evans) Budman. He was the husband of Dorothy Mae (Wolfe) Budman, with whom he celebrated a 37th wedding anniversary, Sept. 13, 2017.


He attended the Montgomery Area Schools. He was employed as a truck driver by Watson Rendering of Elimsport, which was later bought by MOPAC of Souderton, retiring in 1990.


Russell loved being outdoors and working on mowers and cutting grass. He was an avid John Deere toy collector. He especially loved his cats.


In addition to his wife, he is survived by seven children, Tina and husband Eddie Palmeter of Turbotville, Linda and husband Marlin Gemberling of Mifflinburg, Donna and husband Pat Deitrick of Montgomery, Paula and husband Jim Raemsch of Allenwood, Allen and wife Jeannie Budman of Montgomery, Brady Budman and Denise Miller of Montgomery, and Christopher and wife Jodi Budman of Montgomery; two sisters, Mary Hyde of Allenwood, and Pearl Raup of Allenwood; one brother, Tom Budman of Montgomery; 17 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.


Russell was preceded in death by five brothers, Elwood Budman, John Budman, Lou Budman, Charles Budman, and Nile Budman; and two sisters, Mae Bryan and Marie Hauck.


At Russell's request, there will be no services.
