Roger E. Smith Obituary

Roger E. Smith, 71, formerly of Sunbury, passed away Jan. 19 in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Roger was born July 9, 1953, in Sunbury, a son of the late Elwood and Harriet Smith.

He was a graduate of Sunbury High School.

Roger worked in maintenance for Susquehanna University for over 40 years.

He enjoyed all dogs, going out to eat, the Eagles and all sporting events, but he especially loved the Philadelphia Phillies and spending time with his family.

Roger is survived by nephew Dean Graver, and niece Denise (Miles) Krouse and many other nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by sister Patricia Engle and brothers George, Larry, James and Dale Smith.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, January 29, at the Zweier Funeral Home, 157 Chestnut Street, Sunbury, from 10 to 11 a.m. where the funeral service will follow at 11.

Interment will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
