Robert W. Wagner, 72, of Mifflintown, formerly of Thompsontown, died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019, in West Virginia while hunting.
He was born May 23, 1947, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Robert S. and Mary A. (Keister) Wagner.
Robert was a veteran of the Air Force, serving for four years.
He was employed by Pennsylvania House Furniture for many years and most recently worked for Five Star International.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Juniata County where he served on the Board of Deacons and taught Sunday school when needed. He loved his Lord dearly.
Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and NASCAR racing.
He is survived by his wife, E. Joy (Kauffman) Horning Wagner, whom he married in 2015; one son, Nathaniel Wagner and husband, Kent Wagner of Selinsgrove; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Wendy L. and Donald Brubaker of Shermans Dale, Marion J. and Jay Murray of South Carolina, Carol S. and Donald Loss of North Carolina, Joan M. and Paul Hauck of Danville, and Joyce A. and Chester Forrest of New Berlin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of more than 40 years, Rev. Maureen (Schaeffer) Wagner; and two brothers, Harold and Randy Wagner.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, followed by the funeral at 10, at First Baptist Church, Mifflintown, with the Rev. ronald Shupe officiating. A committal service and interment will follow the service at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Witmers Cemetery, Port Trevorton..
The family will provide all flowers and suggests that memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church, 23964 Route 35 North, Mifflintown, PA 17059.
