Robert E. VonNeida
Robert "Chic" E. VonNeida, 77, of 308 Main St., Hartleton, since 1987, entered into rest at 4 a.m. Monday, Dec. 2, 2019, at home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born March 9, 1942, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Earl C. and Miriam B. (Sheesley) VonNeida. On Sept. 24, 1966, in Glen Iron, he married the former Louise M. Marks, who preceded him in death on Sept. 2, 2017.

Chic was a 1960 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.

He served in the US Navy on the USS Chilton and USS Spiegel Grove from 1961 until his honorable discharge in 1965.

Chic was a member of the Mifflinburg Church of the Nazarene.

He enjoyed camping, woodworking, and spending time with his family, grandchildren, and his puppy, Princess Victoria.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Shelbi VonNeida of Harrisburg, and Christopher Sr. and Connie VonNeida of Millmont; two daughters, Charity Bowersox of Hartleton, and Heather Kline of Missouri; one sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Henry Dorman of Hartleton; eight grandchildren, Christopher "C.J." VonNeida Jr., Dakota Kline, Austin VonNeida, Logan Kline, Ryan Bowersox, Landon Bowersox, Madison VonNeida, and Olivia VonNeida; and one great-grandson, Brantley Kline.

Family and friends are welcome from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020, at Mifflinburg Church of the Nazarene, 12 Market St., Mifflinburg, where a memorial service will be held at noon with the Rev. Wayne Krell officiating.

Burial will follow in the Montandon Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are by Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg.
