Robert T. Specht Sr., 80, of Harrisburg, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017, at his home.

He was born Dec. 5, 1936, in Lewistown, a son of the late Charles E. and Mildred (Hackett) Specht Sr. He was married to the former Wilma L. Shaffer who preceded him in death.

Robert was a retired sales manager from the Butter Krust Baking Co., Sunbury.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends in Perry County and in his younger years he was an avid bowler.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen A. and Ruth Specht, of Carlisle, and Robert T. Jr. and Junie Specht, of Shermans Dale; three grandchildren, Jennifer Specht, Cheri Tewell and Stephen A. Specht Jr.; seven great-grandchildren, Cole Specht, Austin Tewell, Derek Sims, Taylor Miller, Jodi Miller, Wil Specht and Collette Weist; and two brothers, George Specht and Richard Specht.

He was preceded in death by one grandson, Thomas J. Specht; and two brothers, Charles E. Specht Jr. and Paul Specht.

A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg, followed by the funeral at noon.

Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
