Robert L.
Robert L. "Rob" Minick, 50, Mount Pleasant Mills, entered into rest on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2019, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Sept. 19, 1968, in Lancaster County, a son of Mary Jane (Sweigart) Minick of Elizabethtown and the late Barry L. Minick. He was married to the former Edith May Taylor who survives. The couple were married for 12 years at the time of his passing.

Rob was a 1987 graduate of Elizabethtown High School and a graduate of Shippensburg University, receiving a bachelors degree in accounting.
He was currently employed at the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue, Harrisburg and was an EMT for the Beaver Springs Ambulance League.

Rob served as vice president and a volunteer for DH&L Ambulance League. He was a lifetime member of the Conewago Rod and Gun Club, the Milton Grove Sportsmen's Club, both in Elizabethtown, and the National Rifle Association. Rob was also a member of various Masonic Lodges in the Lancaster area, and the Richfield Sportsman's Association.
He enjoyed shooting sports including reloading, and hunting, and also enjoyed fishing. Most of all, Rob loved spending time with his two sons.

In addition to his wife and mother, Rob is survived by his two sons, Aaron and Logan, at home; his father-in-law, Frank E. Taylor and wife, Laurel (Gehrs) Taylor of Mount Pleasant Mills; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Roscoe and Jessica Taylor of Thompsontown; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Joan and Brad Eby of Mifflintown; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Rob was preceded in death by a twin brother in infancy; and his mother-in-law, Cynthia Koehler Taylor.

Friends and family are invited to the viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, and from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, followed by the funeral at 2, at the George P. Garman Funeral Homes Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mount Pleasant Mills, with Pastor Brittin F. Stimeling and Pastor Michael Martin, an uncle to Edith May, officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Millerstown.

Memorial gifts may be made in loving memory of Rob to the DH&L Ambulance League, 713 Bridge St., Selinsgrove, PA 17870.

Rob was a brother of Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity at Shippensburg University. He was an active brother, eager to help with our many service projects. He lived our motto of Leadership, Friendship, Service. He will be missed.

I was really sad to hear Rob's passing this morning well out at the Milton Grove Sportsmen Club meeting I know he will be truly missed bye many clubs down this way that he belong to and the Meister County Sportsmen for Youth and Lancaster County Federation which he was president of several times my regards to the family and wish them the very best rest in peace my friend
