Robert Allen Hovenstine Obituary
Robert Allen Hovenstine, 80, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2018, at Milton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, with family by his side. A son of the late Helen (Long) and Cyrus Hovenstine Sr, Robert was born November 16, 1937.
Robert attended Mahanoy Joint schools, worked at American Can Company, and served in the US Army Reserves. He was very friendly and was especially proud to be a father to his daughter Linda, the only child of his marriage to Leatrice (Rhoads) Neiswender (Arizona), who survives.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brother Stanley Hovenstine and sisters Georgianna Leitzel, Iris Moyer, and Roberta Kurrell. He is survived by his daughter Linda Hovenstine (Bob Skinner) (Arizona), grandson Adolpho Navarro (Amy, Ava, and Asher) (Arizona), sister Helen (Peg) Wynn (Sunbury), brother Cyrus Hovenstine (Herndon), and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
