Robert E. Bingaman Jr., 66, of Carlisle, Pa., passed away on March 31 after a yearlong battle with lung cancer.

Bob was born on Oct. 5, 1954, in Sunbury, Pa., to the late Robert Sr., and Edna (Forbes). He graduated from the Selinsgrove High School. He retired from Shipley Energy Transport, LLC after 30 years of service. Bob had a passion for his work with Shipley, and in 2017, he volunteered for the Hurricane Irma Relief Effort in Florida. Bob had a love of music and was a member of several local bands over his lifetime.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his stepmother, Friedl. He is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Wendy; two sons, Bobby and Drew; two stepdaughters, Rachel and Rebekah Trace; his sister, Diane Schreffler (Don) of Lewisburg, Pa.; and many nieces; nephews; and close friend, Betty Phillips of N.C.
