Middleburg - Robert A. "Bobby" Dunkelberger, 72, of Middleburg, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2026, at his residence.

Born on May 19, 1954, in Lewisburg, he was a son to the late Marlin and Catherine (Liddington) Dunkelberger.

Bobby was a graduate of Middleburg High School.

Bobby was the proud owner and operator of his own garage, where he dedicated many years to his work as a skilled and dependable mechanic. He took great pride in his work and was known for his dedication and willingness to help others. He also owned and operated Rolling Green Dragway

He was a member of the NSRA (National Street Rod Association), Kreamer Sportsman's Club, Roosters Corner, and Shit Crick Cruiser's of PA.

Bobby had a lifelong passion for cars. Whether it was working on them or watching them race, he enjoyed anything and everything related to automobiles. His love of cars was more than a hobby; it was a true passion that brought him great joy throughout his life.

Bobby is survived by two daughters, Stacie (John) Geedy and Amy (Scott) Tate; a brother Wayne Dunkelberger; grandchildren Dais (Kyle) Kemble, Brai Tate, and Britnee Tate; great-grandchildren Kole Kemble and Lennon Kemble; his partner in crime, Shirley Varner; many nieces and nephews, and his dog, Coty.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by a twin brother, Richard Dunkelberger.

A viewing will be held from 4 to 8 pm on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026, at Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill Street, Middleburg.

The family kindly asks visitors to dress casually.
