Richard was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Freeburg, Freeburg Fire Company, and American Legion Post 25, Selinsgrove.

He loved spending time with his family.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, a memorial service will be delayed until a future date when the potential of pandemic spread has abated. The family would also like to discourage the traditional practice of home visitation and the dropping off of meals for the safety of the entire community.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Freeburg.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to honor Richard's memory can be made to the Freeburg Volunteer Fire Company, 15 E. Market St., Freeburg, PA 17827.

Arrangements are by the Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St., Middleburg.

I just want you to know that you and your wife, were always so nice. When I would see you at Pennsfield apartments in Selinsgrove. You would always talk to me and were so friendly and talkative. You will be missed.
