Reuben R. B. Troutman, 87, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2019, at his home in Mechanicsburg.

"Byrd" as he was affectionately known, was born Feb. 14, 1932, a son of the late Mildred (Baker) and Lloyd Troutman of Herndon.

He was married to Mary Jane (Reed), father of Leslie, Rich (Ginger) Troutman, and Jennifer (Brady) Bitting, grandfather of Kara and Benjamin Troutman, Jill (Andy) Mallon, Lindy and Cannon Bitting.


Following his graduation from Mahanoy Joint High School in 1949, Reuben was a Marine from 1951 to 1954 and served proudly and honorably in Korea.

He was a founding member of the Silver Spring Township Veterans Memorial Committee.
