Dornsife, PA - Ray C. Davis, 97, of Dornsife, passed away on March 11, 2026, at the Gatehouse Inpatient Hospice, Williamsport. He was born in Ashland on August 20, 1928, a son of Katie and Belton Davis. Ray was employed as a farmer, a coal miner in the winter of 1968, a custodian at Line Mountain School District and was Boyer's Meats first employee in 1952.

Ray was well known for his knowledge of local history and family genealogy. He loved to tell stories and lived on the family farm for over 96 years.

Ray is survived by his brother, Guy (Deb) Davis; sister, Anna Byerly; thirteen nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews and Dolly's three daughters. He was preceded in death his by father, Belton Davis; mother, Katie Fetter; brothers, Leon Davis, Harold Davis and Lawrence Davis and his companion Dolly Brosius.

A visitation will be held on Friday, 8th of May, 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Grace Community Church, Herndon. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place in the Salem UCC, Klingerstown, Pennsylvania.
