Ralph I. Ammon III, 72, of Berwick, was pronounced dead on Sunday, April 11, 2021, at his home.


Ralph was born Sunday, Oct. 17, 1948, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Ralph Isaac and Edna Mae (Grove) Ammon. Throughout his younger years, Ralph attended the Mifflinburg area schools, and later graduated from the Mifflinburg High School in 1967. Following graduation from high school, Ralph honorably served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. For more than 40 years, Ralph was employed by Weis Markets until his retirement.


In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded by his wife, Rose (Fry) Ammon on June 20, 2014.


Survivors include his sister, Scarlett R. Erdley of Pennellville, NY; and his brother, Douglas W. Ammon of Murrells Inlet, SC.


Graveside funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Monday, April 19, in the New Rosemont Cemetery, with his nephew, Rev. Aaron Erdley officiating. A combined American Legion and VFW group will present military honors.
