Rachel L. Dershem, 63, a resident of Mifflinburg, went to be with her Lord on Friday, Oct. 23, 2020, in the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born Thursday, Oct. 3, 1957, in Sunbury, Northumberland County, she was a daughter of the late Simon Dershem II and Barbara (Catherman) Whipple.
Rachel was a graduate of Milton High School. She honorably served her country with the U.S. Air Force. Rachel was employed as a secretary by the Donald Heiter Community Center at Lewisburg.
She was a member of the New Covenant Assembly at Montgomery.
Rachel was very artistic having written songs, poems, stories and enjoyed painting. Her art works always had the theme of love.
Rachel is survived by three children, Christopher A. I and wife Sarah Keeling of Ridgecrest, Calif., David E. Buck of Mechanicsburg, Pa., and Barbara Dershem of Lewisburg; five grandchildren, Autumn, Christopher and Lily Keeling, Abigail Wren and Elena Buck; and seven siblings, Simon Dershem III, Ethel Hollenbach, Dennis Dershem, Mark Dershem, Glenn Glozzer, John Glozzer and Robert Glozzer.
Rachel was preceded in death by her sister, Pauline Dershem; and her brother, Michael Dershem.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
