MOUNT PLEASANT MILLS — Philip J. Adam Sr., 60, of Cross Road, passed away on Tuesday morning, Feb. 18, 2014, at his home. He was born Nov. 18, 1953, in Upper Darby, a son of the late John L. and Dorthea E. (Felici) Adam. He was married to the former Mary T. “Teri” Powers, who survives. Philip was a 1972 graduate of Upper Darby High School. He had been employed by Truck and Trailer Sales, Selinsgrove, and did mechanical work on school buses. He was concerned for children’s safety and was very proud of working on the buses for more than 38 years. He was a Christian. Philip enjoyed hunting and camping and collected eagle memorabilia. His family members, particularly his children, were the focus of his life. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Philip J. Adam Jr. and Jason R. Adam and fiancee Tori Stake, both of Mount Pleasant Mills; four brothers, Richard Adam, of Pottsville, John Miller, of Upper Darby, Garth Miller, of Millsboro, Del., and Jeffrey Miller, of Mahanoy City; one sister, Judith Tomlinson, of Dayton, Ohio; one stepsister, Kathy Reinard, of Fairfield; one stepbrother, John Bisbing, of Tarpon Springs, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends and family will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday in the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove, followed by the funeral at 11. Contributions to honor Philip’s memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
