Lewisburg, Pennsylvania - Patsy C. Thomas, 94, of Lewisburg, passed away at her home Tuesday evening May 13, 2025.

She was born in Washington D.C., Dec. 12, 1930, a daughter of the late Joseph Blair and Bertha Elizabeth (Hadden) Coggon. She was married to Richard Thomas for 67 years until his death Jan. 20, 2019.

She was a graduate of the Bladensburg, Md., high school. She had been a book keeper for Garrett's Fine Furniture in Las Vegas, Nev., and was an Avon representative.

Patsy was a member of the Winfield Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School in the Kindergarten class, sang in the church choir, loved to travel, was a military wife at home and overseas in Japan, did missionary service in Alaska, loved playing games, doing puzzles and spending time with her family.

Surviving are 3 children: Richard "Rick" Thomas (former spouse Stephanie Thomas), Robert "Bob" (Jill Marie) Thomas, and Phyllis "Jean" Springer (former spouse David Springer) all of Lewisburg; 8 grandchildren, Jennifer Thomas, Christopher Thomas, Rachel (Eric) Gordner, Lindsay (Todd) Adams, Sarah (Lance) Meekel, Caleb (Kerri) Thomas, Keturah (Bryce) Martin, Paul (Christina) Springer; and 11 great-grand children, Dylan Thomas, Tori Gordner, Brianna Gordner, Jarrod Adams, Ellie Adams, Gabriel Meekel, Claire Meekel, Wells Thomas, Isaac Martin, Liam Martin and Anna Martin.

Also surviving is a brother Robert Coggon, of DeBary, Fla. Considered to be the "matriarch" of the extended Hadden family, she is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins along the east coast and scattered across the country.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard "Dick" Thomas and sisters Betty Jean Hoy and Phyllis Hoy.

She spent the last 30 years of her life acting as if she was still 65.

Friends and relatives will be received Friday morning, May 23, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the Winfield Baptist Church when the funeral will begin with her pastor, the Rev Corey Mitchell, officiating. Burial will follow in the Lewisburg Cemetery

Donations in Patsy's memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
