The Dalles, Oregon - Nancy Louise Blazer (née Goodling), 82, of The Dalles, Ore., passed away peacefully on Jan. 12, 2026, with her loving family by her side. Nancy was born in the Lewistown Hospital to the late Alvin A. and Mary K. (Zechman) Goodling on Jan. 22, 1943, while her father was serving with the U.S. Army in Africa, Italy, and Syria during WWII. Nancy was the eldest of Mary and Alvin's four beloved children, Dolores, Ronald, and Kenneth.

Nancy began her education at Gordon's one-room schoolhouse in West Perry Township, Pa., and graduated from Middleburg High School in 1960. She met her husband, Reynolds W. "Ren" Blazer, working at Beneficial Finance Company. They were married on Jan. 6, 1962, and together they had an adventurous life moving to Texas, Louisiana, and New Jersey, before settling in Warminster, Pa., where they raised their three sons: Bill, Bob, and Brad.

Later in life, Nancy went back to school and became a registered nurse, beginning a second career that was a natural fit for her compassionate heart and warm spirit.

After Ren's passing, Nancy went on another adventure with her grandson, Bobby, moving to The Dalles, Ore., to be closer to her son Brad and his family, The West Coast Blazers. The East Coast Blazers made many memorable trips out to Washington and Oregon.

Known as NanB1, she loved puzzling, photography, coins, stamps, following the stock market, and, above all, spending time with her family, of whom she was incredibly proud.

Nancy is survived by her children, Bill, Bob, and Brad (Elisha) Blazer, her brother, Ron (Diane) Goodling, and sister, Dolores (Bob) Bressler, sister-in-law, Deborah Goodling, her Uncle Gene and Aunt Gaye Goodling, grandchildren, Erica (Dennis) Jefferson, Cory (Zoe) Blazer, Larissa Blazer, Bobby Blazer, and Payton Blazer, two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Denny Jefferson, many nieces, nephews, and cousins, and her dear friend Mintzu.

She was predeceased by her husband, parents, and her brother, Ken.

Rest in peace, NanB. You were truly one of the greats.
