Selisngrove - Nadine M. Lawton, 73, of Dun Lane, Selinsgrove, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025, at her home.

She was born Sept. 19, 1951, in Danville, a daughter of the late Walter and Betty I. (Greager) Worhacz.

Nadine was a 1969 graduate of Shamokin High School and later received her nursing degree from Harrisburg Polyclinic School of Nursing.

As a Registered Nurse for more than 35 years, Nadine began her career with Dr. Ivor F. Lewis M.D. and retired in 2006 from the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

She was a very active member and leader of Bible studies and other church activities at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Selinsgrove and later the Transfiguration of Our Lord Ukrainian Catholic Church, Shamokin.

Her faith continued as a member of her discipleship group, WinDowS, a support group for widower, divorced and separated women.

As a volunteer of the Priestley-Forsyth Memorial Library, Northumberland, Nadine also served as secretary on the library board.

She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Walter B. and Katie Worhacz of Jupiter, Fla., and sister and brother-in-law, Michelle P. and Terry Faust of Catawissa.

She was preceded in death by her beloved rescue pug, Sophie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2025, at Transfiguration of Our Lord Ukrainian Catholic Church, 303 N. Shamokin St., Shamokin, Pa., 17872, with Father Volodymyr Prokipchuk as celebrant.

Burial will follow in Transfiguration of Our Lord Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Coal Township.

Contributions in Nadine's memory may be made to: Wills Eye Hospital, 840 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107 in memory of Dr. Carroll Mullen, MD, whom Nadine credited with saving her eyesight.
