Miles Benfer Obituary

Miles L. Benfer, 77, Overlook Drive, Sunbury, passed away Oct. 8, 2024, at his home.


Miles was born Sept. 16, 1947, in Beavertown a son of the late Henry A. Leda A. (Stehr) Benfer. On April 20, 1968, he married Constance Cardell who survives.


He was a machinist and worked for Paulsen Wire and Rope Works, Inc until retirement.


Miles enjoyed woodworking and gardening.


In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Brian Benfer and his fiance Katrina Freed and Steven Benfer and his wife Miki; his daughters Sherri and Stephen Scholl, and Jennifer and Charles Fiedler; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother Dean Benfer; and sisters Florence Walter, Diane Fisher, Effie Strawser, Helen Aucker and Gladie Gouty.


A viewing will be held Monday, Oct. 14, from 10-11 a.m. at the Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury, where the funeral service will be held at 11 a.m.


Interment will be held in Klinesgrove United Methodist Church Cemetery.
