Mildred Cora Klobe
Mildred, daughter of Charles L. Klobe Sr. and Margaret (Yarrison) Klobe was born on a farm in Loganton on Nov. 20,1924.
She is survived by her brothers, Charles Klobe Jr., of Lock Haven, and Harold Klobe, of Los Angeles, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Glen, Willard, Kenny, Fred, and Lindy; and her sisters, Dorothy M. Meixel, Thelma Bierly, and Hazel Klobe.
Middy attended Rock Grove School in Loganton through 8th grade. She then stayed home to help her mother cook and keep house. She was quite a tomboy and worked with a mule team to plant corn, oats, and potatoes with her younger brother, Charles who called her his best friend. After the loss of their parents, Middy moved to Milton Towers in Milton, to be closer to her sister, Dorothy, and brothers, Willard and Fred. Middy always treasured flying to Los Angeles to visit her brother, Harold, with Dorothy and Dorothy's two daughters. Although fearing the flight, she enjoyed seeing the Rose Bowl Parade and visiting other sites around L.A.
In her mid-seventies, Middy began a new chapter in her life gaining new friends and going on new adventures with her greatest friend, George McCallum. The family is especially grateful for the love and kindness that George provided for Middy. He took her to places she had never experienced before, including the Bloomsburg Fair, basketball games, Little League baseball games, bingo, festivals, and even Washington, D.C. She called him her boyfriend, and she loved him dearly. The family would like to thank George and another good friend, Mary Aikey, for caring for Middy and being with her until the Lord called her home.
Middy had an amazing smile and laughed with a glow. She was a gentle soul with such a fun personality. If you asked her to do something she didn't want to do, you would get a quick, "No!" followed by a comical hand wave and a giggle. Her sweet spirit and beautiful smile will be greatly missed.
At this time, there will be no services held. Family and friends will gather at a later date to celebrate the life of this beautiful lady. Arrangements are by the Spitler Funeral Home, Montoursville.
