Sunbury, Pennsylvania - Michael "Whitey" Lenner, 70, of Sunbury, Pa., passed away Saturday, April 12, 2025 at home, surrounded by his family.
He was born in Allentown on May 11, 1954 to the late Joseph and Pauline (Pike) Lenner. On Sept. 21, 1973 he married the former Lou Ann Bidelspach who survives.
Mike was a 1972 graduate of Shikellamy High School. He was employed a a salesman at Butter Krust Baking Company for 33 years and Sunbury Motors for the last several years. He was a car enthusiast and loved working on anything with a motor, as well as a successful salesman and a true people person.
Mike is survived by his wife of 51 years, his daughter Kerri McLoughlin; much-loved granddaughter Jenna McLoughlin; son-in-law Donovan McLoughlin; his brother Steve Lenner; sisters Catherine (Alan) Turczynski, Carleen Lenner, and Tina (Scott) Morton, and several nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his brother Patrick Lenner and nephew Tony Lenner.
Whitey was a member of the East End Hose Co., enjoyed spending time with his family, and loved his yearly fishing trips to Canada and New York with his buddies. He could tell a story that would have people laughing for days and everyone he met was a friend. He's fondly remembered for his positive personality, generosity, and hilarious sense of humor which he had up until the very end. He will be greatly missed.
A celebration in his memory will be held at a later date.
