Mervin W. Leitzel, 67, of Richfield, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018, at Harrisburg Hospital.
Born March 22, 1951, in Lewisburg, he was a son of the late Shirk and Sylvia (Ferster) Leitzel.
He was a 1969 graduate of Middleburg Joint High School.
Mervin retired after working at Wood Mode for many years.
He was a member of Richfield Life Ministries Church, formerly called Richfield Mennonite Church, and the Richfield Sportsmen's Club.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his family. His grandchildren were his pride and joy.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Faye E. (Frymoyer) Leitzel whom he married June 1, 1974; two children, C. Scott Leitzel and wife Amy, of Baltimore and Jill Dressler and husband Curt, of McAlisterville; two grandchildren, Owen and Carolyn Dressler; and two sisters, Elaine Will and husband Norman, of Middleburg, and Linda Lundberg and husband Tom, of Shaverstown.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Kathryn Regi and Flo Leitzel.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, at Richfield Life Ministries Church, where a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, with a visitation, but no viewing, one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in the Lost Creek Mennonite Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
