Merrill F. Aikey Jr. Obituary

Merrill F. Aikey Jr., 81, of Milton, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2024, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.


Born in Lewisburg on May 22, 1943, he was the son of the late Merril F. Aikey Sr. and Ella M. (Dieffenderfer) Aikey Kissinger. He was the widower of Glenda May (Lanza) Aikey.


Merril was a 1962 graduate of Milton High School and worked in floor covering for himself and Carpetman in Milton. He was a member of the Revival Tabernacle, served in the PA National Guard and was an avid NASCAR fan.


He is survived by two sons, Gerald Aikey and his wife Stacey Aikey of Milton, and Merrill Aikey III and his companion Jody Supsic of Milton; two daughters, Tammy Hasko of Millville and Kimberly Walters of Florida, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a brother, Robert Aikey of North Carolina; and two sisters, Rose Aikey of White Deer, and Betty Thomas of Cogan Station.


In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Georgia Campbell; a son, Tim Aikey; and a sister, Sandra Robinson.


Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.


The family is being assisted by the Shaw Funeral Home, 400 N. Front St., Milton.
