Melvin E. Will, 80, Beavertown
Melvin E. Will, 80, of Beavertown passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Wellspan Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
He was born August 13, 1944, a son of the late Harvey M. and Margaret E. (Auman) Will. He married Patricia A. Stahley in the Mazeppa E.U. B. Church by the Rev. Glen A. Miller on April 16, 1967.
Melvin was a 1963 graduate of West Snyder High School.
He was a member of Mt. Bethel Church of McClure.
Melvin was a slasher operator and the preparation manager at the Beavertown Mill, Inc. and NRB Ind. Inc. for 32 ½ years. He also worked as the warehouse shipping and receiving manager at Runnerless Knits in Sunbury for 9 years.
Melvin was active in the Beavertown Rescue Hose Co. #20 for over 50 years where he volunteered and helped with dinners, the carnival and making chocolate eggs at Easter time. He enjoyed snowmobiling, camping and traveling. Melvin also enjoyed woodworking. After their home was under roof and framed, Melvin completed the electrical and plumbing with the assistance of his father-in-law. He would tackle almost anything like the garage, enclosed porch and the inside of the house.
In addition to his wife Patricia of 57 years, he is survived by a brother Ronald (Cherry) Will; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 10 from 1-2 pm at the Kreamer Funeral Home, 130 S. Zechman St., Beavertown followed by a celebration of life service at 2 pm with Pastors Tad Schlegel and Donald Wise officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to honor Melvin's memory may be made to Mt. Bethel Church of McClure, 16 E. Specht St., McClure, PA 17841.
