Mazie Snyder, 101, of Sunbury and formerly of Rebuck, entered eternal rest on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016, at her residence.

Mazie was born in Dornsife on July 11, 1915, a daughter of the late Sarah "Etta" (Schreffler) and Samuel Alvin Kieffer. She was the widow of Elvan "Leb" Snyder.

She was a lifetime and oldest member of Himmel's Church.

She worked hard raising her children and enjoyed gardening, quilting, crocheting, reading her Bible and word search puzzles.

She is survived by five children, Janette Snyder, of Sunbury, Nancy Klinger, of Rebuck, Pauline "Peggy" Deppen and her husband Robert, of Sunbury, Timothy Snyder, of Phoenix, Ariz., Diane White and her husband Edward, of Sunbury; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 12 siblings.

A time of visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016, at Himmel's Church, Rebuck, where the funeral will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Richard Fangmann officiating.

Interment will follow in Himmel's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Himmel's Church, 107 Covered Bridge Road, Dornsife, PA 17823 or to SUN Home Health Services, 61 Duke St., P.O. Box 232, Northumberland, PA 17857.
