Maud Gay MacDonald Obituary

Turbotville - Maud Gay MacDonald, 87, of Main Street, Turbotville passed away on Feb. 1, 2026, at her home.

Born in Williamsport on Aug. 21, 1938, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Maud (Finley) Mack.

Gay was a 1956 graduate of West Shore High School in Lemoyne and a 1960 graduate of Penn State. She worked as an elementary school teacher in Linglestown, Junction City, Ore., and at Milton Elementary, where she retired from. She was a member of Chillisquaque Presbyterian Church in Potts Grove. She was an avid Penn State fan. She liked to go on cruises and she loved reading.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Brian Peter MacDonald, in 1979.

Graveside services will be held in the spring.

In lieu of flowers donations are requested to the Chillisquaque Presbyterian Church, 4545 PA-642, Milton, Pa., 17847 or to Geisinger Pediatric Fund through the Geisinger Health Foundation, MC 40-36, 100 N. Academy Ave., Danville, Pa., 17821.
