Elysburg, PA - It is with profound sadness that the family of Matthew W. Brown, 37, of Elysburg, announces his sudden passing on July 26, 2025, due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

Matt was born in Williamsport on September 8, 1987. He is the son of Kevin Brown and the late Kimberly (Biichle) Brown. He was employed by the Henkel Corp. since 2021 and previously was a CNA for hospice patients.

Matt married his soul mate, Ashley Scheller on May 18, 2024, creating a blended family of five boys, Aidyn James, Aiden Wesley, Mason, Emerson, and Noah.

He had a huge passion for the Steeler's and enjoyed watching them play. He also loved watching their children participate in several different sporting activities. He enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Kimberly (Biichle) Brown and his brother, Calvin James. Also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Calvin and Linda Hess Brown, and paternal grandparents, James and Penny Biichle.

Surviving are his wife and children, father and stepmother, Edna Piasecki, his in-laws, Robert and Karen Scheller, and Andrew and Kristen Scheller. Also survived by many uncles, aunts, nieces, cousins, his best friend, Matt Fisher, and many other friends and coworkers.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Catawissa Avenue United Methodist Church, 319 Catawissa Avenue, Sunbury, PA.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to his children in care of his wife, Ashley Brown, at any branch of Service First Federal Credit Union, to help provide support for their post high school aspirations.
