Mary M. Wallish, 89, of Center Street, Tharptown, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at her home. She had been ill since October.
She was born May 8, 1929, in Tharptown, a daughter of the late Joesph and Florence (Parker) Bogetti.
Mary attended Coal Township schools. She was a factory worker for Shamokin Shoe Company and Paper Magic.
She attended Emanuel United Methodist Church, Tharptown. Mary was an avid gardener who loved her flowers.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary Louise Zimmerman, of Northumberland and Cathy Kleinschmidt and her husband Bob, of Tharptown; grandchildren, Michael Zimmerman and his companion Kim, of Genessee, Lisa Kobelis and her husband Bob, of Sunbury, and Chrissy Swisher, of Tharptown; four great-grandchildren, Kevin Hopper, of San Francisco, Calif., Sarah Zimmerman, of Lebanon, Pa., Zachery Zimmerman, of Grimesville, N.Y., and Matthew Zimmerman, of Bethel, Pa.; one great-great-grandson coming in August; and one sister, Margaret Bogetti, of Coal Township.
A visitation will be held from 11:30-12:30 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at Emanuel United Methodist Church, 329 Center St., Tharptown, followed by a memorial service at 12:30 with the Rev. Bonnie Auman presiding.
The Farrow Funeral Directors, 240 W. Chestnut St., Shamokin, is in charge of the services.
