Mary B. (Baumunk) Robbins, 88, of Milton, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2024, at Watsontown Health & Rehab Center.
Born Oct. 30, 1935, in Estella, she was a daughter of Harlan and Agnes (Gleockler) Baumunk. She graduated from the Loyalsock High School Class of 1953. She and her spouse, Richard L. Robbins, were wed April 13, 1957, and shared a wonderful life for 67 years.
Mary was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who especially loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed golfing and accomplished two holes-in-ones, as well as dancing, singing with the local church group, choral groups the Buffalo Valley singers and the Heart of Pennsylvania choir. Mary was an amateur but accomplished artist and gardener; she had a love of flowers of all colors.
She was previously employed as a seamstress for over 10 years in the Montoursville area, and with Bell Telephone as a customer service representative. She was a devoted member of First Presbyterian Church of Milton, the Hillsgrove Fire Company Auxiliary, and the Wynding Brook Golf Club in Milton.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Mark R. Robbins, of Milton; daughter, Judith A. Brandenberger, of Roaring Branch; four grandchildren, John "J." Brandenberger IV, of Chesapeake City, Md., Joan (Austin) Brandenberger-Chase, of Lander, Wyo., Kelsea (Austin) Matthews, of Lakeland, Fla., and Austin (Clarissa) Robbins, of New Columbia, who are the parents of her great-granddaughter, Charlotte; two sisters, June Hatton, of Binghamton, NY, Doris Baumunk, of Forksville; and two brothers, Raymond Baumunk, of Montroeton and Richard (Linda) Baumunk, of Forksville.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 4, at McCarty Thomas Funeral Home, 119 Carpenter St., Dushore, with Rev. Steve Shrek officiating. Friends may pay their respects to Mary's husband Richard and family from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Hillsgrove Cemetery.
The family will provide the flowers and suggest memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
